Rules
Throughout the round, players will simulate climbing Everest, which requires technically traversing from base camp to the summit with three camp checkpoints located along the climb at these specific point values:
Base Camp - 0 points
Camp 1 - 10 points
Camp 2 - 20 points
Camp 3 - 30 points
Summit - 40 points
Once you reach each camp, your point value is reset to that camp's checkpoint value. You can hang there as long as you'd like, but once you declare to start your journey onward, there's a finite number of holes you have to accrue the points needed to reach the next camp. Failure to do so will force you to return to base camp. The exposure time in between camps is:
5 holes to reach Camp 1 from Base
4 holes to reach Camp 2 from Camp 1
3 holes to reach Camp 3 from Camp 2
2 holes to reach Summit from Camp 3
Players earn points in the following fashion on each hole:
(1) Fairway in regulation
(1) Green in regulation
(1) Longest drive
(1) Closest to the pin
(1) Longest putt
(2) One putt
(2) Bogey
(4) Par
(6) Birdie
(8) Eagle
The first player (or team) to reach the summit wins. If playing as teams, the camp checkpoints and earned points are combined throughout the team (i.e. twosome is 20/40/60/80).
